Join to apply for the Wine Steward role at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. The Wine Steward is responsible for selling beverages during meal hours in Main Dining Rooms or designated venues and providing overall beverage service. Duties include restocking the wine cellar daily and assisting with wine loading onto the ship when needed. Promote and maximize beverage sales at your workstation. Ensure beverages are used and accounted for according to company policies. Upsell quality wines and premium brands. Present the wine list and suggest alternative beverages if guests decline wine. Recommend after-dinner drinks. Provide prompt, courteous service to guests. Serve wines at proper temperatures and ensure guest satisfaction. Communicate issues or guest feedback to supervisors. Assist in training staff on wine sales and service. Help with wine tastings and maintain wine displays and equipment. Handle gift orders and wine deliveries to staterooms. Ensure proper storage and labeling of wines between meals. Participate in stock takes and follow pouring standards. Qualifications Intermediate to advanced English skills, including grammar. Experience in meeting revenue targets and providing excellent service. Knowledge of wines and beverage products. At least one year of experience as a wine waiter, on land or at sea. Basic knowledge of regional wine lists. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. STCW training from an accredited institution. Certificates or participation in wine courses/seminars. Attributes Proactive, team-oriented, and problem solver. Passionate about hospitality and customer service. Professional appearance and good hygiene. Respectful to colleagues and guests. Energetic, positive, and friendly. Able to work 7 days a week. Team player, adaptable to living in close quarters.
