POSITION SUMMARY

Are you a creative college student with a sharp eye for design and a passion for short-form video content? CFP Board is seeking a Social Media Intern to jump in and start creating right away. You’ll be editing TikToks, designing graphics and helping shape the voice of our social media presence. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s already familiar with platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, knows their way around tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva, and wants real-world experience bringing campaigns to life. The Summer Internship program will be 8 weeks. Interns must be available Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00, and will be expected to maintain a hybrid work schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft social media posts for LinkedIn, X Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
  • Research TikTok trends and help script and film short-form videos.
  • Help source user-generated content from CFP® professionals and CFP Board Ambassadors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requiring exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Comfortable with major social media platforms (TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized with excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Strong writing and editing abilities (AP style knowledge is a plus but not required)
  • Drive and eagerness to learn
  • Creative professional, empowered to bring bold ideas forward

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in graphic design, video production, communications, marketing or a related field
  • Experience creating and editing short-form video content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and/or YouTube Shorts
  • Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, PlayPlay or CapCut
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and an understanding of social media trends and aesthetics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and willingness to accept feedback and revise work
