As a Security Professional Patrol Unarmed in Hanover, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

Pay Rate: $23.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat07:30 AM - 03:30 PMSun07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious behavior within the location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs as observed during patrols.
  • Communicate with site personnel and visitors in a professional manner, offering assistance as needed.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the location, adapting to changing environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
