As a Security Guard - Armed Site Patrol in Land O Lakes, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, so you will be required to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any security-related concerns or hazards observed during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Document and communicate incidents, observations, and/or concerns according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required. This requirement may be completed post hire.
  • A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
