JLL is seeking a Mechanic to work on-site at Pfizer in Andover, MA. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various production equipment and machinery. The candidate should be familiar with low, medium and high-pressure steam systems, rebuilding and replacing motors and pumps, and have experience with compressed air and vacuum pump systems. The role requires reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics, conducting equipment inspections, collaborating with other departments to improve equipment performance and reliability, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and GMP, participating in equipment installation, modification, and upgrade projects, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and responding to emergency breakdowns. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred), 5+ years of mechanic experience in manufacturing (pharmaceutical or biotech preferred), proficiency with manual and electric tools, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics, experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS, ability to read technical documents, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and in a team, and willingness to work flexible hours. Physical requirements include ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions for extended periods in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery. Shift is Monday-Friday, 07:00a-03:30p.
