Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Banfield Pet Hospital is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time LVTs for the following hospital locations: Lake Worth Hospital: 6572 Lake Worth Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76135 Hulen Hospital: 4465 Bryant Irvin Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Fort Worth Downtown Hospital: 415 Carroll St, Fort Worth, TX 76107 Fort Worth Ridge Hospital: 1300 Green Oaks Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76116 Fort Worth Trinity Commons Hospital: 3000 S Hulen St, Ste 111, Fort Worth, TX 76109 The anticipated starting hourly rate for individuals expressing interest in this position is $18 to $33 per hour. Requirements: Veterinary Technician Licensure, Certification, or Registration (LVT, CVT, or RVT) Or Vet Tech Students who are currently in the process of graduating and completing accreditation Being an LVT requires much more than AVMA certified credentials. Role responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Optimum Wellness Plan® options, medications, and additional treatments. Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems, including Banfield’s database, PetWare, designed to obtain data for population research. Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
